JUST IN: Kamala Slammed with Articles of Impeachment by GOP Rep

4 Min Read

In yet more bad news for Vice President Kamala Harris as she tries to step into President Joe Biden’s shoes for the 2024 election, she has been hit with the initiation of impeachment proceedings against her by Rep. Andy Ogles, who cited high crimes and misdemeanors as the reason.

Those alleged crimes and misdemeanors relate to her handling of the border disaster and her allegedly failing to uphold the Constitution and fulfill her duties as Vice President.

In the letter introducing the Articles of Impeachment against VP Harris, Rep. Ogles claimed, “Kamala Harris has demonstrated extraordinary incompetence in the execution of her duties and responsibilities, a stark refusal to uphold the existing immigration laws, and a palpable indifference to people of the United States suffering as a result of the ongoing southern border crisis in the United States.”

Continuing, he argued that VP Harris has, as “border czar” for the Biden Administration, refused to visit the border and deal with the crisis. He said, “Vice President Harris has consistently refused to visit the southern border to evaluate this ongoing national crisis, aside from a single trip hundreds of miles away from the epicenter of the migrant crisis.”

Describing the horrific results of such lack of attention to the border crisis, he wrote, “Women and girls in the United States have paid a disproportionate price for the ongoing border crisis, tragically extenuated by the inaction of border czar Kamala Devi Harris. In August 2023, Rachel Morin, a mother of 5, was raped and killed by an illegal alien.

In September 16 2023, an illegal alien attacked a woman and her 9-year-old daughter in Los Angeles. On May 14, 2024, an illegal alien from Turkey raped a 15-year-old New York girl after threatening to beat her with a pipe. In February 2024, a 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley was killed by an illegal alien.”

Announcing the matter in a press release, Rep. Ogles, who is a Tennessee Republican, said, “Kamala Harris has disgraced the Office of the Vice President and willfully disregarded her oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. She is not only an embarrassment to the country but has also intentionally ignored her responsibility to enforce the laws of the United States and protect the American people. On her watch, every single town has become a border town. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have overdosed on illicit drugs brought across the southern border, and countless women and children have been raped and murdered.”

Continuing, he noted, “Kamala Harris has betrayed the trust of the public by failing to exercise her sworn duty to employ the provisions of the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden from office when it became apparent that he was mentally and physically incapable of continuing to serve. For these reasons alone, immediate action should be taken to impeach her.”

When asked whether he aimed to resolve this before the August recess, Rep, Ogles argued that Congress should get its work done before going on vacation, saying, “If our work isn’t done, why would we leave?” He added, on that same note, “I have a problem with that. I think we have Appropriations bills to address and we need to impeach the vice president.”
